IAN YOUNG

Ian Young is an American writer who has lived in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, for most of his life. When not writing, you’ll find him hanging out at the local coffee shop, playing board games with his kids, or working in his garage wood shop. His debut novel, The Automaton, won the 2023 Best Indie Book Award (BIBA) for science fiction, and is a Book Readers Appreciation Group (indieBRAG) medallion honoree. His follow up, Ashen Light, is also an indieBRAG medallion honoree and a Readers' Choice 5-Star Read. Ian recently teamed up with Upscale Games to write their first novella set in the SCALE: Rise of Dragons universe. It is due to release in the fall of 2025.
