Comic Lettering Services
Thanks for your interest in Funky Fresh Lettering, a subsidiary of Funky Fresh Publishing, LLC. OK, maybe it isn't as fancy as that. I'm just a guy who loves comics and finally has a way to help others bring their creations to life!
I'm a writer. My life is spent creating stories. Pacing, narrative, and character developement are at the top of mind when lettering. Anyone can create balloons and effects. I can bring the lettering together to fully integrate with the story and bring your work to life.
Service Tiers
Tier I (.eps files) - Just the lettering. $8/page
The final product will be the layer of lettering balloons, sfx, captions, etc. You will need to add it to the comic page yourself.
Tier II (.tiff files) - Lettering + integrating lettering with the artwork file. $10/page
The final product will be the final comic page as a hi-res .tiff file. The file you receive will be ready to be complied into a .pdf in publishing software.
Tier III (.pdf file) - Lettering + integrating lettering with the artwork file + compiling all the finished comic pages into a single .pdf file. $12/page
The final product will be a single .pdf file of the complete comic, ready to publish!
Comic Title/Logo Design (.png file) $40
Meant for covers and/or publishing imprints. Can be a standalone service, or added to any of the above tiers.

“It was a real pleasure working with Ian. He’s very talented, attentive, and always willing to share his ideas and advice. He really took the time to understand the project, and his input was valuable throughout the whole process. I’m very happy with the result and would definitely recommend working with him."
- Marouan Moutawakkil, creator of REDACTED UNTIL PUBLICATION
“I have had the privilege of working with Ian recently on a comic pitch. Ian’s lettering, as well as his work on the comic logo, has been better than I could have hoped for. Ian’s approachability and kindness made the whole process fun and enlightening. I’m excited to be able to continue working with him. My work can be wordy and cluttered, but Ian makes everything shine. Thank you so much, Ian!”
